Similar takeaway as from the Gaussian Copula article in wired http://www.wired.com/techbiz/it/magazine/17-03/wp_quant?currentPage=all . Which is essentially that sophisticated tools that aren’t understood by their greedy users can get everyone into a shitload of trouble.

PopJam … weeee!
I’ve been enjoying the newly launched PopJam.com. It’s a site where users can upload funny links, images, or video and the follow each other using a Twitterish model. You can alss “LOL” the content you find funny or re-post to your own feed. Each of these actions generates points for the content submitter – which is mildly enticing (I’m almost at level 4! … weee). The best thing about PopJam is that it’s really easy to upload content and start following others. Overall I can’t say PopJam amounts to anything that is breakthrough or noteworthy, but I’ve found myself coming back to the site daily for a quick laugh. TechCrunch also does a good job describing how it functions here.
